Zero deforestation cocoa: A model for sustainability and market access for agroforestry cocoa producers in the Colombian Amazon

The technical cooperation's objective is to strengthen the technical and associative capacities of cocoa producers in the Colombian Amazon by implementing a traceability system that allows them to comply with new international regulations, such as the European Union's Zero Deforestation Law (EUDR) and the United Kingdom's Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (UKFRC), and access more demanding international markets. Additionally, it aims to improve the livelihoods of producers through complementary activities that promote biodiversity, strengthen governance of associations in the region, and contribute to the development of a national guide for traceability systems that facilitates the adaptation and compliance with these regulations at the national level.
