Science, Technology, and Innovation Districts as drivers of productivity and growth of Colombian cities

This TC aims to provide specialized technical support to the cities of Bogotá and Medellín to guide the effective and sustainable implementation of the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) tools and services of their Innovation Districts (ID). To achieve this, the follow specific objectives are: (i) support the cities in defining service offer, instruments, and incentive schemes to promote entrepreneurship and business innovation in their IDs; (ii) strengthen the capabilities, instruments, and models for planning, articulation, and multilevel governance of their IDs; and (iii) create spaces for dialogue and exchange of experiences, and promote the transfer of good international practices to inform the implementation of the districts in the cities of Bogotá and Medellín.
