Bioeconomy in the Amazon: enabling environments, policy development and institutional strengthening

The objective of this technical cooperation (TC) is to support the development of public policies and technical instruments that enable the competitive development of the bioeconomy in the Amazon region of Colombia, in coordination with subnational governments at the departmental level. The specific objectives of the TC are: (i) to strengthen policy frameworks on bioeconomy as a sustainable development alternative; (ii) to support the development of value chains that enhance the bioeconomy in the Amazon region; and (iii) to promote the strengthening of institutional capacities and knowledge management related to bioeconomy chains. It focuses on working with the departments of Guaviare, Putumayo, and Guainía.
