CO-T1689 : Digital Connectivity Plan for the social and productive transformation of Colombia

Project Status: Implementation

The general objective of this operation will be to support the design and implementation of a Digital Connectivity Plan for the social and productive transformation of Colombia that will increase access to and meaningful use of digital connectivity. In order to fulfill the general objective, the following are defined as specific objectives: (i) identification of infrastructure needs in areas without Internet access, which allow the connection of homes, public institutions (educational centers, health centers, Government, etc.), and of the strategic points for the productive matrix of Colombia, (ii) identification of the main digital skills to be developed to increase the significant use of digital connectivity, with a gender approach, and (iii) scheme of the necessary institutional framework, of the necessary regulatory and policy reforms to facilitate access to digital connectivity, with a gender approach. Support the design and implementation of a Digital Connectivity Plan for the social and productive transformation of Colombia that allows increasing access and significant use of digital connectivity.
