CO-T1280 : OECD Economic Review

The objective of this TC is to (i) further develop IDB and OECD cooperation in policy areas such as (a) Economic policy and structural reforms (e.g. economic growth; competition; financial markets; investment; (b) insurance and pensions; (c) tax policy and administration; (d) enterprise, industry and services; (e) trade; (f) agriculture; and (g) regional, rural and urban development; and (ii) strengthen institutional capacity to devise and implement policy reforms according to best practices. To do so the Bank will carry out with the OECD an Economic Survey, according to OECD standards to further advance in the accession process. Drawing on the accumulated experience of OECD member and partner countries, the survey will focus on the dealing with the major obstacles to growth and income equality through the analysis of the macroeconomic situation and of selected issues in public finances, labor markets, education, competitiveness and infrastructure, financial markets, social security, tax policy and public expenditure, among others
