Small and Medium Business Survey in Colombia

The principal objective of this program is to develop and strengthen Small and Medium Businesses in Colombia. The following are the specific objectives: § Make available a periodic and trustworthy source of statistical information concerning the evolution of small and medium businesses in Colombia. § Have at hand primary information that explains the performance of variables such as production, sales, exports, use of capacity, employment and investments of SMEs.. § Understand the perception of SMEs businesses regarding the economic conditions necessary for the development of their businesses, principal obstacles for their normal performance and growth, and their perspective of the future. § Access primary information to track SMEs by sectors (industry, commerce and services) and sub-sectors. § Track the effect that principal economic policies have on SMEs. § Write short-term economic outlook reports and complement structural studies that ANIF conducts periodically. § Provide this information in a way that is useful and organized for both the public and private sectors.
