Support for Community Councils in Colombia Phase II
The nonreimbursable contribution of the BID will provide funds to expand the existent consultant services that were introduced by the Presidency of the Colombian's Government with the following objectives: a) to develop a better understanding of the governemnet's pro-poor policies; b) to improve the transparency and attention to the distribution of the budget throughout all goverment levels that represent the rights and needs of the population most vulnerable; and c) to improve the efficiency of the consultancy and to install an innovative mechanism of participation that ensure that the voice of the most vulnerable population is heard and that public services provided are responsive the communities' needs.
