CO-M1084 : Promoting Shared Value Business Approaches with Poor and Low-Income Populations

This project will create sustainable economic opportunities for low-income and vulnerable populations by promoting shared value through inclusive business practices in the value chain of large companies and their clusters. This will be achieved by: (i) promoting and supporting inclusive businesses for vulnerable populations with large firms; and (ii) generating and disseminating knowledge to key audiences to support the implementation of inclusive business practices, including advocacy for conducive public policy. This project will build on the results achieved and knowledge generated by the Program to Link Larger Companies with Vulnerable Populations under the Framework of Corporate Social Responsibility - ProRSE financed under the Social Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) by the Italian Trust Fund, in order to reach new populations and to continue to generate innovations to promote and support for the Inclusive Business Practices in Colombia and share them with other countries in the region. One of the major innovations includes escalating the project by working with clusters and include the concept of shared value as proposed by Prof. Michael Porter.
