Water, Sanitation and Sewerage Program for Cartagena de Indias

The general objective of the Program is to contribute to reducing the vulnerability of the inhabitants of Cartagena de Indias to flood events and inadequate sanitary conditions in a fiscally sustainable manner. The specific objectives are: (i) to increase access to urban drainage services for both the local and migrant populations; (ii) to increase access to and improve the quality of drinking water services for both the local and migrant populations, and to increase access to sanitation services; and (iii) to strengthen the Municipality's capacity to generate its own revenue.
