The Project would do the following: (i) provide credit at competitive market rates primarily to low income customers of EPM, many of whom have never received a loan; (ii) more specifically, provide these customers access to home improvement finance and financing for new and more efficient appliances and potentially other goods and services, and (iii) improve efficiency in the consumption of energy by giving the beneficiaries the possibility to replace old appliances with more-energy efficient ones.
