The general objective of this TC is to support Chile in developing the national segment of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor (CBC), in the Tarapacá and Antofagasta regions. The TC seeks to strengthen the country's role as a gateway connecting the landlocked economies of the Southern Cone with Pacific markets. To this end, it will generate technical inputs to guide the prioritization and preparation of transport and logistics investments. The specific objectives are to: (i) carry out technical analyses for the development of the corridor in Chilean territory; (ii) conduct complementary studies on ports, logistics chains, road safety, and border crossings, aimed at reducing logistics times and costs for trade with Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay; and (iii) disseminate knowledge and promote the exchange of experiences among public and private stakeholders linked to the corridor.
