The objective of the operation is to mainstream and implement Ecological Planning at the national and subnational levels through: (i) standardizing Ecological Planning and improving information for decision-making; (ii) incorporating Ecological Planning into institutions and territorial planning instruments; and (iii) operating financing mechanisms for the conservation, restoration, and sustainable use of priority areas, with the effective participation of Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
