Support for the strengthening of Chile's Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation
The general objective of the Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the redesign of the institutional framework of the new Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation (MCTCI) of Chile, created in 2018, in its relationship with the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), as well as with regional authorities, thus incorporating the new challenges of decentralization in the country. In addition, it seeks to analyze mechanisms to incorporate cross-cutting issues (such as gender, climate change) in its different instruments, and the design of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for national innovation activities, drawing on lessons learned from other countries in the region, as well as from member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
