The Project will mitigate the negative impacts that sharp upturns in electricity prices, like the one recently experienced in Chile, have had on CPP¿s business. In addition to this economic benefit, the Project will also reduce the negative impacts of the burning of waste in open fields instead burning it in a controlled process, capturing and disposing of toxic substances and particulate matter before they can reach the atmosphere. The Project will also meet the latest, more stringent, Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines World Bank Group.
