Institutional Strengthening DIRECON
Chile has asked the Bank's support to: (a) ensure consistency among diverse commitments it has made in international trade accords and instigate their implementation; (b) strengthen its capacity to design and implement policies and tools to encourage trade in accordance with the regulatory framework agreed in the OMC; (c) develop various information systems to support monitoring and implementation of trade accords and improve statistical analysis capacity and scenario formulations to ensure favorable insertion in specific markets; and (d) optimize its regulatory framework to attract external investment and promote international trade, as well as further simplify its trade management procedures.
