THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO IMPROVE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN THE CITY OF CURITIBA, ESPECIALLY IN LOW-INCOME AREAS, AND INTEGRATE CHANGES WITH URBAN PLANNING BY EXTENDING THE NETWORK OF PUBLIC BUSWAYS, PROVIDING SERVICES NEAR STATIONS, DECREASING CONGESTION IN THE NORTH-SOUTH CORREDOR, AND MAINTAINING INTEGRATED FARES AND THE FINANCIAL VIABILITY OF OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN FARES OR SUBSIDIES FOR OPERATION.
