Low Carbon Agriculture and Avoided Deforestation for Reducing Poverty
This TC will implement a large program of recovery of degraded forests and pastures. It will (i) restore 37,700 hectares of degraded land in seven strategic states in the Amazon and the Atlantic Forest; (ii) provide grants of up to 20% of the total cost of implementing low carbon agriculture and/or restoration projects (limited to 8,000 small and medium producers for areas of up to 3ha), as an incentive to unlock existing in-country climate finance.
