To strengthen timber legality, traceability, and market accountability in the Brazilian Amazon by improving the adoption of interoperable verification systems, forensic and geolocation-based traceability tools, standardized protocols, and stakeholder capacities. The project will enhance the ability of public institutions, enforcement agencies, private-sector actors, and local communities to identify, verify, and promote legally sourced timber, thereby reducing opportunities for illegal logging, supporting compliance with emerging international regulations, and contributing to sustainable forest management and forest conservation.
