Strengthening Brazil’s Care Agenda with a Gender and Life-Course Perspective

The objective of this Technical Cooperation is to strengthen Brazil's capacity to operationalize the National Care Policy (Law No. 15,069/2024) by generating operational evidence and tools, and institutional capabilities required to plan, prioritize, and scale up care services across the life course. Specifically, the TC will: (i) produce operational inputs – including unmet demand estimates, cost and financing assessments, targeting instruments, user registries, and quality monitoring systems – to support the planning and investment prioritization of care services; and (ii) strengthen coordination mechanisms and institutional capacities across sectors and levels of government to support the implementation of the National Care Policy and Plan (Plano Nacional de Cuidados – Brasil que Cuida).
