Incorporating the Bioeconomy into the State of Amapa Strategy for Sustainable and Innovative Economic Development
The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to promote the integration of the bioeconomy into the State of Amapá's sustainable and innovative economic development model. Specifically, it will aim to provide technical support to the state government in designing and implementing a strategic framework that fosters sustainable growth, strengthens institutional capacities, and enhances the competitiveness of key bioeconomy value chains. This objective is aligned with and operationalizes the National Bioeconomy and Sustainable Regional Development Strategy (BioRegio), established under the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development (MIDR) Ordinance No. 3717/2023, which prioritizes place-based and cross-border approaches to strengthening bioeconomy ecosystems in Pan-Amazon territories. In doing so, this TC will contribute to positioning the state as a reference ecosystem for innovation, sociobioeconomy, and to supporting the translation of national bioeconomy guidelines into concrete territorial pilots in border regions.
