Building new development models in indigenous economies

The general objective of this technical cooperation is to promote the economic and sustainable development of Indigenous peoples in the Brazilian Amazon by strengthening and encouraging productive activities in the region, based on the appreciation of Indigenous peoples' knowledge about their territory, their human, cultural, social, political, and ecological identity. The specific objectives are: a) to strengthen the institutional capacity and governance of COIAB and its network; b) to promote Indigenous enterprises in 9 states of the Legal Amazon; c) to contribute to the implementation of Territorial and Environmental Management Plans (PGTA); and d) to qualify Indigenous peoples in the areas of Indigenous economies and entrepreneurship.
