Promote Sustainable Forest Management through Innovative Carbon Accounting Solution for Tackling Climate Change

The overall objective of the project is to increase the capacity of government institutions, the third sector and private companies to conduct large-scale spatial monitoring of native vegetation restoration initiatives in Brazil. The specific objective is to apply orbital remote sensing methods combined with field survey data to perform biomass gain assessments and carbon stock calculations as a function of vegetation structure and phytophysiognomies in areas under restoration initiatives.
