Support for the Structuring of Railway Projects in Brazil

The main objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to develop instruments for the preliminary analysis of railway projects, the result of which will determine the viability that they could eventually become PPPs projects. The specific objectives are: (i) to support the Brazilian Federal Government to develop instruments to structure rail projects; (ii) to structure alternative finance instruments to support the development a greenfield and brownfield infrastructure rail projects; and (iii) to develop mechanisms to stimulate the improvement of the rail transport system (cargo or passenger).
