BR-T1392 : Support to the strengthening of the National Information System on Solid Waste Management (SINIR) and the Identification and Evaluation of Infrastructure Investment Projects for the Sustainable Management of Solid Waste in Brazil

Project Status: Implementation

The general objective of the TC is to improve the planning and the public policies of the Solid Waste sector in Brazil, through: i) to support the strengthening of SINIR, to improve its contribution as a support instrument for the formulation, monitoring, evaluation and systematic implementation of the PNRS; ii) support the identification and evaluation of investment projects in infrastructure for the sustainable management of solid waste, including the possible generation of energy, and (iii) promote dialogue on public policy among the main players in the solid waste sector.
