BR-M1125 : Entrepreneurial Skill Development and Employability of Rural Youth in the Southe

The Project aims to improve economic and social conditions of the rural communities in the Southern Bahia Lowlands by increasing their income levels through youth training and commercial linkages of cooperatives with anchor firms in productive value chains. The Project will provide the rural youth with sustainable business skills and practices through the "Rural Family Houses" - a unique alternation pedagogy method that trains youth living in a Family House for a week and going back to their own communities for the rest three weeks of the month, providing basic education, tutoring and technical training that can be applied in their communities. The beneficiary youth will be encouraged to participate in the cooperative leadership by interacting with commercial partners and learning new business / production technologies and best practices needed to improve the quality of their products in compliance with social and environmental standards.
