Program to Strengthen Gender and Racial Equality Policies in Brazil (Pro-Igualdade)

The project aims to strengthen policies that seek to promote gender and race equality in Brazil. The specific objectives are: I) support public policies that promote the economic autonomy of women and Afro-descendants; II) strengthen regulatory frameworks and mechanisms to ensure a life free from violence and discrimination for women and Afro-descendants; and III) support policy measures of the Federal Government that seek to expand and strengthen institutional capacity and coordination with subnational governments to promote gender and race equality.
