The general development objective is to contribute to fiscal sustainability through improved revenue management and public spending. The specific objectives are: (i) modernize the management of fiscal bodies; (ii) Improve the effectiveness of tax administration; (iii) Improve the effectiveness of public spending; and (iv) improve the effectiveness of the legal aspects of fiscal management. The program will contribute to the integration of fiscal authorities between federal entities and to the feasibility and operationalization of recent reforms in the fiscal area, especially the tax reform on consumption. In this context, PROFISCO III will continue the process of modernizing fiscal management, advancing digital transformation through the intensive use of data in decision-making, with a focus on improving services to citizens. Furthermore, it will incorporate environmental and social dimensions across fiscal management tools.
