The general objective of the proposed Program is to contribute to the economic development of the Northwest Region of the State of Minas Gerais through the extension of the basic transmission and distribution system's capacity, allowing the increase of load or the connection of urban consumers and big agricultural producers. Also, it will allow ¿ thanks to narrow coordination with complementary programs- the connection of small and medium rural producers, and rural homes of the "Luz para Todos" program. This will improve life conditions and will reduce social exclusion of the rural population with lower economic resources in the region.
