Extreme heat and schooling: Proposal for financing strategies to protect learning and safeguard children's future

To protect children's learning and education trajectories education systems need to be more resilient to extreme heat and reduce the negative impact on children's school attendance and learning. It proposes financing the retrofitting or new construction of schools that are heat ready and can provide proper thermal conditions for learning, complemented with proper planning that could identify the risks and guide investments and also adapt the school calendar towards cooler days.
