State of Pará, Brazil: Structuring and Piloting of the Pará Payment for Environmental Services Program (Pará PSA2)

The general objective of this Investment Grant (IGR) is to promote forest conservation by strengthening the livelihoods of indigenous peoples, quilombolas and traditional communities (PIQCTs) in collective territories in Terra do Meio, in the state of Pará. Its specific objectives are: (i) Promote the formal recognition of IPQCT as providers of environmental services for the conservation and sustainable management of Collective Territories in Terra do Meio; (ii) Strengthen the inclusive governance of forest conservation policies for IPQCT in Collective Territories.
