BO-M1067 : Operationalizing Bolivia¿s Joint Mechanism for Mitigation and Adaptation to Clim
Project Status: Closed
The project¿s impact objective is to improve incomes and agricultural practices of 3,000 upstream producers and to improve water supply for 15,000 downstream users by protecting 30,000 ha of upper watershed forested ¿water factories¿. The project¿s result objective is to scale up existing experiences with design and implementation of reciprocal water agreement mechanisms with private sector water providers, by implementing up to 15 new schemes. An additional result objective is that of verifying the climate change mitigation potential of the forest under conservation and its carbon offsetting economic potential.
