Program for Strengthening of the Social Protection System in Bolivia I

Mitigate the negative effects caused by structural adjustment measures on the country's most vulnerable population, and establish a Social Registry (SR) to enable the efficient management of State resources aimed at poverty alleviation. The specific objectives are: (i) to protect the purchasing power of the most vulnerable population against income shocks by ensuring continuity in the coverage of Renta Dignidad (RD) cash transfer programs; and (ii) to strengthen the targeting mechanisms of social protection.
