BL-T1123 : Market-based Incentives for Responsible Fishing

Project Status: Approved

The proposed project aims to address the problem of unsustainable and illegal fishing practices which are depleting Belize's fisheries and endangering livelihoods of fisherfolks, through the development of market-based incentives under a Fish Right, Eat Right program to encourage buyers to purchase a greater proportion of their seafood from fishers who harvest responsibly.
