Enhancement of the Belize Teaching Force
The specific objectives are to: (i) develop a strategy to upgrade the initial education of teachers and the creation of a distance education system for continuous professional development. The strategy would also encompass a system for the training of principals and school administrators; and (ii) adjust, validate and pilot two teacher training modules (the improvement of the teaching of primary education mathematics, and the promotion of protective factors associated with child maltreatment).
