Supporting Renewable Energy within the Implementation of the Electricity Act in The Bahamas
The general objective of this Technical Cooperation is to support the Government of The Bahamas in adding Renewable Energies (RE) to the generation mix by facilitating key investment and interconnection agreements between key stakeholders. The specific objective is to provide the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit with (i) technical expertise to facilitate consensus-building between stakeholders with regards to energy planning and investments (ii) an economic development framework analysis for utility-scale solar Photovoltaic integration that coordinates the results of a grid stability analysis to recommend appropriate Power Purchase Agreement guidelines and (iii) support for a stakeholder forum to improve awareness of roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders on RE implementation.
