Health Services Resilience Program

The general objective is to contribute to reducing the burden of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health conditions in Barbados. The specific objectives are: (i) to increase and sustain the adoption of healthy behaviors and promote mental well-being among individuals and communities; (ii) to reconfigure health care services toward more community-oriented, accessible, and proactive service delivery across the continuum of care , while reducing age- and disability-related barriers; (iii) to strengthen the design and implementation of policy, regulatory and institutional frameworks to support healthy behaviors, promote mental well-being, and advance multisectoral action for NCDs prevention and control; and (iv) to increase systemic support to sustain change and strengthen resilience for the continuum of care for NCDs and mental health conditions.
