Regulation Support to Fast Track the Energy Transition in Barbados

The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to provide technical assistance to agencies within the Government of Barbados (GoB) involved in the power sector that will strengthen the country's policy and regulatory framework. The specific objectives are to: (i) increase private sector involvement in Renewable Energy (RE) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects; and (ii) strengthen the power sector's policy and regulatory framework, to adapt to changes during the energy transition towards a carbon-free economy.
