Development of the Sharing Economy in Cities as a Tool to Promote Social Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
The project will promote the development of Sharing Economy business models that contribute to the development of a "Collaborative City" understood as the city that promotes sharing and puts the citizen as the central figure. The project will work in a few cities in Argentina that will be identified in partnership with the Division of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Program for Emerging and Sustainable Cities (ESC). The idea is to work on two types of cities: cities of over one million inhabitants where they already exist various models of Sharing economy; and smaller cities in which it is necessary to support the development of models taking into account the needs of the citizens. The project will include the National Ministry of Production through its Secretary of Entrepreneurship and with the Secretariat of the Creative Economy of the government of the City of Buenos Aires as strategic allies in Argentina, and the International Development Research Center (IDRC) Canada as a regional ally for knowledge management.
