AR-L1096 : Cooperativa La Riojana

This project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of small-scale producers who are members of La Riojana Cooperativa Vitivinifrutícola de La Rioja Limitada (¿La Riojana¿ or ¿the cooperative¿) by increasing their production capacities and improving their access to financing, which currently is very limited. Specifically, the project will modernize production and increase valueadded sales by these producers, who are at the base of the socioeconomic pyramid, enabling them to engage in regional and global wine markets in which they cannot compete on their own. The project will also have a positive effect on the local community in general, since the activities of La Riojana have a major impact on the economy of the region and involve roughly 2,000 rural families in the area.
