Inter-American Development Bank President Luis Alberto Moreno today extended his deepest sympathies to the government and the people of South Africa on the death of former president Nelson Mandela.
“The world has lost a great statesman, a true hero of racial equality. His personal sacrifice, his magnanimity and his tireless work to achieve national reconciliation will stand as examples for generations to come,” said Moreno.
