The President of Argentina Cristina Fernández de Kirchner visited the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington today, where she met with IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno and with the institution’s executive board.
Pres. Fernández de Kirchner and Pres. Moreno reviewed the Bank´s operations in Argentina in the short and mid-term, and the priorities in the upcoming Country Strategy.
The Strategy sets the priorities for the IDB’s work in the country for a four-year period.
The IDB has approved projects totaling $1.3 billion so far this year for sectors such as health, water and sanitation, road infrastructure, rural development and research and development, among others.
