Join the BID for the Americas Procurement Fair

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group will host the BID for the Americas Procurement Fair, a three-day virtual event from June 23 to June 25 to present public procurement opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

The event is designed to help companies interested in IDB-financed projects better understand IDB procurement policies and procedures, while gaining early access to information on upcoming tenders in the region. IDB procurement specialists and executing agencies will participate in the event to share practical insights, and companies will also have the opportunity to take part in business matchmaking sessions to explore potential partnerships, including consortium and joint venture arrangements.

The sectors covered include Energy, Transport, Water and Sanitation, and Trade and Investment, among others, with a focus on IDB-financed projects across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The main program will include:

•    Training sessions: Introduction to IDB procurement policies, the Procure+ initiative, and IDB procurement platforms
•    B2G networking: Presentations by government agencies and executing agencies on tenders expected to be launched in the coming months
•    B2B matchmaking: Pre-arranged 30-minute meetings between companies to support the formation of partnerships, consortia, and joint ventures for participation in IDB-financed projects

The event is expected to help companies interested in entering the LAC market gain early insight into upcoming tenders and prepare to participate in high-impact regional projects as local partners, subcontractors, or specialized suppliers.
