Invites public and private sector representatives to participate
The Government of Jamaica will host the Jamaica Investment Forum in Montego Bay, March 1 and 2, in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the Compete Caribbean Programme.
The Forum will present an array of investment opportunities with special focus on emerging projects in Jamaica’s burgeoning ICT/BPO, manufacturing and tourism sectors. It will bring together international investors with public and private sector representatives at the new Montego Bay Convention Centre in the island’s resort city.
The Most Honourable Portia Simpson Miller, Prime Minister of Jamaica will preside over the opening session.
IDB participants will include IDB Vice-President for the Private Sector, Steven J. Puig; and IDB Representative in Jamaica, Ancile Brewster.
The forum agenda will address Jamaica’s pro-business investment climate and will feature a mix of top speakers, sector experts and existing investors in Jamaica; in addition to in-depth business sessions designed to explore the details of investment-ready projects.
