IIC to host conference on Corporate Governance

Representatives of development finance institutions from 25 countries to focus on transparency, reporting

On March 4 - 6, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) will host the 8th Conference on Corporate Governance for Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. The conference will focus on implementation of the Corporate Governance Development Framework (CGDF) and the sharing of new developments in the field of corporate governance among its signatories.

More than fifty DFI representatives from over twenty-five countries as diverse as Burundi, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa have confirmed their participation. Vnesheconombank, the Development Bank of Russiaand Nacional Financiera, Mexico’s largest development bank, will be welcomed as new members to the Framework in a signing ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th, bringing the number of signatory institutions to 33.
