The first program features reports on IDB Annual Meeting themes; includes an exclusive interview with Luis Alberto Moreno.
The Audiovisual Communications Unit of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDBtv) today launched Crónicas de Cambio, a television series that features development impact stories with a human angle.
The first program includes an exclusive interview with IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno on his vision for Latin America and the Caribbean in the next decade. The program also features reports on IDB Annual Meeting themes, such as sustainable urban development, youth employment, private sector participation in renewable energy development, and banking for the poorest segment of the population.
The complete Crónicas de Cambio series, comprised of 12 magazine-style programs, will be available for broadcasting on television channels beginning in May 2011. Each 30-minute program includes reports produced in different countries of the region, as well as an in-depth interview with a person recognized for work in social, cultural, or economic change. The reports describe experiences in such key development areas such as education, health, climate change mitigation, and private sector development.
Along with presenters Indira Murillo and Paco Aguayo, the Crónicas de Cambio team includes veteran television journalists with extensive experience in the production of reports and documentaries with social content. The program also features local coverage provided by correspondents and contributors in 26 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
