IDB Hosts 4th FintechLAC Network Meeting

Financial regulators, fintech associations and chambers, and the fintech ecosystem from Latin America and the Caribbean will meet on June 7 and 8, 2023, in Washington D.C., to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the industry during the 4th FintechLAC Network Meeting. 

The event, called “Building a Fintech Ecosystem for Financial Inclusion,” will be open to online audiences and journalists. Those interested in participating can register through this link.

Policymakers, public officers, representatives of the private sector, and international experts from the fintech industry and academia will participate.  

The agenda includes discussions about open finance and financial inclusion, cryptoassets, central banks' digital currencies (CBDC), regulatory innovations such as regulatory sandboxes, and innovation hubs, and Suptech and Regtech. 

FintechLAC is the first public-private group of fintech in Latin America and the Caribbean. Funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB,) this group includes financial regulators and supervisors and fintech associations and chamber from the region. FintechLAC seeks to support the development, consolidation, and integration of digital finance in Latin America and the Caribbean through the promotion of policies and regulations, and the institutional strengthening of ecosystem actors.
