Authorities, experts and representatives of international organizations analyzed the new challenges in security policies management in Latin America and the Caribbean in a meeting in San José, Costa Rica, October 7-9, organized by the Inter-American Development Bank.
The event promoted a dialogue among academics, scientific researchers and decision makers responsible for citizen security management in the region.
Participants agreed that violence is not an intractable challenge if informed public policies are applied with leadership and citizen participation.
