Courses will cover theories of democracy, how democratic institutions work in the region and subregion, democratic values and practices, and the theory and practice of human rights and the need to respect, promote, and protect these rights.

Other subjects to be covered will be political management and the use of technology in government, political negotiation and mediation, and public participation and consultation in the legislative process.
