Disaster Risk Management Workshop: One year after the Earthquake in Japan (JICA, IDB, and ECLAC)
The aim of the workshop is to demonstrate the importance of countermeasures against natural disasters from a technical as well as a finance perspective. Presentations by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean will provide insight into different experiences and highlight possibilities for future cooperation in disaster risk management for the region.

The Multilateral Investment Fund launches a new knowledge product. Developed with Bloomberg New Energy Finance, the Climatescope will profile the potential for climate-change related businesses in Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighting new opportunities and filling in important information gaps. The Climatescope will be an annual report and benchmarking index covering the entire region, consisting of a general overview of the state of new-energy projects and individual country profiles.
