The Museo Nacional del Prado and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announced the online course "Museums in the Digital Transformation" to train professionals from museums and cultural institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean on best digital management and strategy practices.
This program is the organization’s first collaboration under an agreement they signed in February.
Over the course of seven weeks, participants will learn about the digital and technological strategies used by the Museo Nacional del Prado, known for its vast collection of masterpieces and its innovative approach to digitizing collections, managing visitors, and using communications and social media.
The course also draws on the experience of museums in Latin America and the Caribbean and their realities, challenges, and innovations. The partnership between the Museo Nacional del Prado and the IDB reflects their shared commitment to digital transformation in the region’s creative and cultural industries. It also represents a key step towards enhancing museum management and finding sustainable and innovative ways to bring cultural heritage closer to the public.
